Brenna Williams, M.S., is a doctoral student therapist at the Behavioral Wellness Clinic, supervised by Dr. Alexandria Pruitt. Brenna is currently a fourth year graduate student in the University of Louisville Clinical Psychology PhD program. Here, she focuses her research efforts on studying transdiagnostic factors of eating disorders and psychiatric comorbidity. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
Brenna has experience treating individuals with various presenting concerns, including eating disorders, body image disturbances, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, depression, and insomnia. She is trained in a variety of empirically supported interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and biofeedback. Brenna also enjoys incorporating mindfulness and self-compassion in her treatments to help foster a mentality acceptance and self-kindness.
