Brenda Arellano, M.S., L.P.A., is a bilingual, Licensed Psychological Associate. At the Louisville OCD Clinic, Brenda specializes in providing empirically-supported treatment for individuals of all ages suffering from OCD. 

Brenda Arellano, M.S., L.P.A., is a bilingual, Licensed Psychological Associate. At the Louisville OCD Clinic, Brenda specializes in providing empirically-supported treatment for individuals of all ages suffering from OCD. 

Brenda also treats individuals suffering from eating disorders, anxiety, depression and behavioral difficulties. As a fluent native Spanish-speaker, Brenda provides therapy in both English and Spanish. She is trained in delivering various empirically supported interventions, including Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness and Acceptance Based Interventions. Her training in various therapeutic approaches allows Brenda to adapt the therapeutic experience to best fit the needs, strengths and goals of her clients.

She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2017 with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. In addition to her clinical training, Brenda was involved in various research projects during her time at the University of Louisville. She shared her research on child anxiety and the intersection of culture and mental health at national conferences as well as peer-reviewed articles.

Prior to joining the Louisville OCD Clinic, Brenda worked in the child welfare system. As a visit coach with JusticeWorks Ohio, Brenda helped parents regain custody of their children in foster care by improving their parenting skills, managing their mental health needs and increasing feelings of parental mastery. This experienced not only reaffirmed Brenda’s passion for psychological wellness, but also taught her how to adapt evidence-based treatment to best meet the needs and strengths of each individual.


Brenda Arellano, M.S., L.P.A, es una Licenciada en Psicología. Brenda especializa en el tratamiento de OCD en personas de cualquier edad. Brenda También ayuda a personas sufriendo de trastornos alimenticios, ansiedad, depresión, trastorno de arrancarse el pelo o pellizcarse la piel, y problemas de conducta. Ella a entrenado en varias terapias apoyadas por ciencia, incluyendo Exposición y Prevención de Respuesta, Terapia Cognitiva Conductual, Terapia Conductual e intervenciones basadas en mindfulness (atención plena). Brenda recibió su Maestría en Psicología Clínica en la Universidad de Louisville en el 2017.
