Meets Monday evenings 6:30-7:30pm with Sara Sutphin, MEd, LPP

Meets Thursday evenings 6-7:00pm with Katerina Stratigis, MA & Cheri Levinson, PhD
This 60-minute group is for adults struggling with perfectionist tendencies. This group is especially targeted for adults with eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, or depression. Participants will learn about the upsides and downsides of perfectionism and will learn to identify perfectionistic behaviors and thoughts. Participants will learn strategies to cope with these thoughts and behaviors using a cognitive behavioral framework. Targeting perfectionism has been shown to decrease anxiety, depression, and eating disorder behaviors. People struggling with all types of perfectionism are welcome to participate in this therapist-facilitated forum for psycho education, support, and encouragement.
Meets Monday afternoons from 12-1pm with Katerina Stratigis, MA & Cheri Levinson, PhD
Mealtimes are especially difficult for individuals with eating disorders, but is one of the most important aspects of recovery. This 60-minute group meets at lunch time to help adults or adolescents suffering from eating disorders (or with anyone who struggles to eat). Participants bring their lunch to the group and eat it in the company of others who struggle with eating, as well as a trained therapist. Goals are set for each meal and at the end of the meal we process what the experience was like.
Meets every other Tuesday evening at 7:30-8:30pm EST with Chris Leins, MA
This 60-minute group is for adults currently in treatment or phasing out of treatment for taboo forms of OCD. It is a therapist-facilitated group held online and is available for people to help and share with each other common struggles with OCD. The group, although it is therapist-facilitated, is group-led: meaning the group discussion is often set by members of the group, as they dialogue together about their week-to-week experiences with taboo OCD-thoughts and feeling alone in some ways in their lives. Thus, it is often very meaningful for members of the group to meet and talk here because of the manner in which they feel understood in ways that they do not feel elsewhere. Consequent to their sharing is the experience of then other persons with taboo thoughts hearing and supporting them in real time where they are. This dynamic is quite unique to an OCD support group (as only those with quite similar conditions comprise the group).
